Position Summary
Morris, Inc. is seeking a dependable and safety-driven Class A Truck Driver to transport materials to and from job sites while maintaining strict compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. This position plays a vital role in supporting aggregate, asphalt, and construction operations through timely and professional material delivery.

The ideal candidate is responsible, mechanically aware, and committed to operating equipment safely and efficiently.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid CDL Class A required
  • Doubles, air brakes, tanker, and hazmat endorsements preferred
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations and state/local transportation laws
  • Clean driving record
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and performing manual tasks
  • Two or more years of driving experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
Safe & Compliant Transportation
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
  • Safely operate belly-dumps, side-dumps, flatbeds, and lowboys
  • Ensure loads meet DOT weight requirements and are properly secured
  • Tarp loads and maintain clean, debris-free equipment
Operational Support
  • Operate loader as needed to load trucks and trailers
  • Complete load tickets accurately and daily
  • Maintain Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR)
  • Assist mechanics with minor repairs and tire service as needed
Equipment Care & Maintenance
  • Maintain cleanliness of trucks and trailers (interior and exterior)
  • Perform routine weekly maintenance including greasing
  • Immediately report mechanical or safety concerns
Customer & Team Interaction
  • Deliver materials professionally and represent Morris, Inc. positively
  • Maintain communication with supervisors regarding delays or issues
  • Promote a safe working environment at all times

Starting Wage: Minimum $26/hr DOE
